Our Bed & Breakfast in Venice center Ca’ San Rocco is located in a green and quiet district of the old town center, convenient to all the main attractions and monuments of Venice.
We are located just a few steps from Scuola Grande di San Rocco, where a very famous cycle by Tintoretto is exhibited, and from the stately and impressive Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari Basilica, where among many frescoes and paintings you can admire the Assumption of the Virgin by Titian.
Close to us there is also the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista containing the canvas cycle about the miracles of the Cross, and Ca’ Rezzonico, beautiful palace overlooking the Grand Canal, home to the Museum of the 18th Century Venice.
St. Mark’s Square, Rialto Bridge, Ca’d’Oro, the Galleries and the Accademia Bridge are within easy reach both by vaporetto (steamboat) and walking.
HOW TO REACH US
– FROM VENICE AIRPORT ~ 20/30 MINUTES
Bus n° 5 (ACTV) or Venice Shuttle (ATVO)
Arrival in Piazzale Roma after approximately 20/30 minutes
– FROM PIAZZALE ROMA (terminus of all buses and coaches and main car park area) 5 minutes on foot
Once you arrive in Piazzale Roma, do not take the Ponte della Costituzione (glass and red iron, direction of the train station), but cross the white stone bridge in front of the “Giardini Papadopoli” in Piazzale Roma (direction Basilica dei Frari – Chiesa di San Rocco).
Continue straight, cross the small “Ponte dei Tolentini” and turn left, at the “Campo dei Tolentini” (where there is a small fountain) take the “Calle Amai” between the shop and the bar (Sottoportico Calle Amai).
Continue straight, after crossing a last bridge continue and turn into the first street on the right “Calle Ramo Cimesin”, on the corner with the Casa dello Studente / Domus Civica and the main street.

– FROM SANTA LUCIA TRAIN STATION 10 minutes walk
Cross the station bridge, turn right.
Continue straight until the first bridge and before it turn left for “Fondamenta dei Tolentini”.
Follow the canal until “Campo dei Tolentini” (where there is a small fountain), take “Calle Amai” between the shop and the bar (Sottoportico Calle Amai).
Continue straight, after crossing a last bridge continue and turn into the first street on the right “Calle Ramo Cimesin”, on the corner with the Casa dello Studente / Domus Civica and the main street. You will find us at the fourth gate on the left.
ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION IF YOU WANT TO AVOID LIFTING YOUR BAGS ON THE BRIDGES OF VENICE AND YOU HAVE NO TIME PROBLEMS
From Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia Train Station ~ 40 Minutes
Take vaporetto line 1 or 2 from Piazzale Roma or the Santa Lucia train station.
Get off at the San Tomà vaporetto stop.
Exit the calle and turn right, in Campo San Tomà turn left and continue straight across the entire square.
Follow the signs for Campo dei Frari or Basilica dei Frari, at the corner with the Dersut café keep left and continue straight towards Campo San Rocco.
Go past Campo San Rocco and the campiello delle Chiovere with the fountain and the well, at the corner keep left and continue towards Calle Ramo Cimesin.
You will find us at the third entrance on the right.
– FROM CRUISE TERMINAL / MARITTIMA STATION / HARBOUR
Piazzale Roma can be reached from the cruise and ferry terminals by:
People Mover (about 2 minutes trip). This public transportation system made of a land funicular, thanks to regular connections guaranteed from 7 AM to 11 PM with a current frequency of 8 minutes, allows to reach Piazzale Roma and vice versa in less than 2 minutes
